Ting Pau Oei, Principal, is the head of healthcare investments for L Capital Partners. With 30 years of experience in the healthcare and pharmaceuticals industry, Mr. Oei joined L Capital Partners in 2004 Between 1992 and 2004, Mr. Oei worked at Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation, Johnson & Johnson's venture capital arm, where he was involved in more than 50 venture capital investments, including Barrier Therapeutics Inc., Critical Therapeutics Inc., Immunicon Inc., COR Therapeutics Inc., Allos Therapeutics Inc., Neurocrine Biosciences Inc., and Shire Pharmaceuticals Group plc. Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson, Mr. Oei held positions at Merck & Co., Abbott Laboratories, and American Cyanamid. Mr. Oei received a BA in Economics from Union College (N.Y.) and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Dr. Blake is SVP Clinical & Medical Affairs & Chief Medical Officer of Aeterna Zentaris. Prior to joining Aeterna Zentaris, Dr. Blake was Chief Medical Officer of Avigenics; Executive Vice President of Worldwide Medical & Regulatory Affairs, Cephalon; and Chief Medical Officer at MDS Proteomics, Inc., a division of MDS International. Previously he was senior vice president and medical director for SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals with responsibility for its worldwide clinical R&D operations. He also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Proliance Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and held other senior clinical research and development positions with ICI Pharmaceuticals (now AstraZeneca) and G.D. Searle & Co.
Dr. Blake qualified in medicine at London University and is a fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacology and the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom. Dr. Blake sits on the Board of Directors of Protez Pharmaceuticals and ViaCell, Inc.
Chris Cashman
President and CEO, Protez Pharmaceuticals Inc.
Most recently President and Chief Executive Officer of Message Pharmaceuticals, a venture capital backed RNA focused company in Malvern, PA, Chris brings twenty-five years of experience in commercial operations and business development in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to Message, Mr. Cashman served as Global Director, New Product Development for Pfizer Animal Health in New York. He and his group were responsible for conducting commercial evaluations and pre-launch plans on all internal development candidates and external license opportunities. Prior to this, Mr. Cashman served as Vice President, Commercial Operations, leading sales, marketing and medical service teams for both SmithKline Beecham and Pfizer with P & L responsibility exceeding $300 MM. Mr. Cashman began his career at SmithKline Corporation serving in a variety of roles in marketing, sales and management. Mr. Cashman holds an M.S. in Economics from Purdue University and B.S. Business Management from the University of Minnesota.
Jeanne Cunicelli

Jeanne Cunicelli, MBA, is an Investment Partner at Bay City Capital and has been with the company since December 1997. Her investment activities focus on medical device, drug delivery, and drug development companies. Ms. Cunicelli joined Bay City Capital from Ernst & Young's International Life Sciences Group where she managed its industry-leading annual biotechnology report. She is a member of the board of directors of Calypso Medical Technologies, IDev Technologies, Inspired Technologies, NuPathe and Protez Pharmaceuticals. She is also a member of the board of trustees, the Chairman of the investment committee, and serves on the finance committee, of the University of San Francisco. Ms. Cunicelli received an MBA in Finance from the University of San Francisco and holds a BS in Cognitive Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University.
Kent Gossett, DVM, Ph.D.

Kent joined SR One in November 2003 and is focused on biotechnology with an emphasis on drug discovery and development. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Alere Medical, MicroMass Communications and Protez Pharmaceuticals and a board observer for Morphotek and TorreyPines Therapteutics. Kent previously held positions as Director of Asset Screening for GSK Ventures (2000-2003), Scientific Licensing (1999-2000) Clinical Pathology and Safety Pharmacology (1993-1999) at GlaxoSmithKline and SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals, Assistant Research Director of Clinical Pathology at Sterling Winthrop Pharmaceuticals (1989-1992) and Assistant/Associate Professor of Veterinary Clinical Pathology at Louisiana State University. Kent received his DVM and MS from Purdue University, his PhD in Veterinary Clinical Pathology from Louisiana State University, is a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists, and received his MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Scott M. Horvitz

Mr. Horvitz serves on the Board of Directors of Protez Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and is the Chairman of our Audit Committee. Mr. Horvitz is the Chief Financial Officer of Redpoint Bio Corporation, a publicly traded company leveraging recent discoveries in the molecular biology of taste to discover and develop novel taste enhancers and aversive taste blockers for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. Mr. Horvitz is a seasoned financial executive with more than 25 years experience in accounting and the financial management of biotechnology and emerging growth companies. His areas of expertise include: fund raising, mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiation, budgeting, SEC reporting, corporate governance, investor relations, business development, facilities management, and human resources. In June 2007, Mr. Horvitz was the recipient of the New Jersey Technology Council CFO of the Year Award, which was granted based on his exceptional contributions to Redpoint Bio.
Previously, Mr. Horvitz co-founded 3-Dimensional Pharmaceuticals, Inc., ("3DP") where he worked from its inception in 1993 until its acquisition by Johnson & Johnson in 2003, most recently serving as its Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary and Treasurer. Prior to 3DP, Mr. Horvitz was the Executive Director of Finance and Human Resources with Magainin Pharmaceuticals (now called Genaera Corp). Mr. Horvitz holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University at Albany and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Geeta Vemuri, Ph.D.

Dr. Vemuri joined Quaker BioVentures as senior associate in 2003, and was promoted to Vice President in 2005 and to Principal in 2007. Her previous experience includes being an associate at Toucan Capital, where she was responsible for investments in seed-stage and start-up biotech opportunities. She also was an associate equity analyst at SalomonSmithBarney and First Union Securities covering specialty pharmaceuticals and healthcare sectors. Dr. Vemuri currently serves on the boards of Argolyn, Cellatope, Immune Control, and Protez Pharmaceuticals; and is a board observer at Optherion, Regado Biosciences, Tengion, and Tranzyme Pharma. She is on the advisory committee of the Sid Martin Biotechnology Incubator, the board of directors of Southeast BIO, and the advisory committee of BioAdvance Greenhouse. Dr. Vemuri earned her M.S. degree from Central University in India, her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Indian Institute of Sciences, and her M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Vemuri was a research scientist at The Wistar Institute and a postdoctoral fellow at Thomas Jefferson University.
Seth J. Orlow, M.D., Ph.D.

Seth has a longstanding interest in biotechnology and more than 10 years of experience as a consultant to major pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, OTC manufacturers, and private equity firms on early and late stage pre-clinical drug discovery, clinical development, market opportunities, and strategy. He has served on the Advisory Boards of a number of companies involved in the life sciences and in life science-related investing. Seth was a founder of the Anaderm Research Corporation, a privately held drug discovery company acquired by Pfizer in 2002. Seth is an inventor or co-inventor on numerous patent applications relating to drug discovery and medicinal chemistry. Seth is a Professor of Cell Biology, Dermatology & Pediatrics at New York University School of Medicine, New York. He holds an A.B. in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard College and an M.D.-Ph.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Molecular Pharmacology. Seth currently serves on the Board of Transave and is a Board observer of CombinatoRx.
